A Zmee strategy game played on two separate boards: one in which you play to win, the other on which you play to lose.
The rules for each are subtly different. On the “lose” board, you may only kill when retreat is impossible. On the “win” board, retreat is impossible, you must kill when confronted.
The pieces consist of an Aj, two Adji, Prefects, Commanders of Twelve, Leaders of Six, several kinds of Deceivers, male Warriors and female Guards. A roving Aj may be earned under certain conditions.
The identity of each piece is known only to its owner until the piece meets opposition. To play well is highly prized by Zmee society.
