Youngling

A Zmee child aged twelve or less.
 
All are born green, and the males begin to brown about the 6th year, and thereafter progressively redden with age. By their 12th year, they must have already have left their domicile to join their sires in the all-male colonies.
 
The younglings don’t generally sprout facial tendrils until about the age of 11 or 12.
