Giant barb‑toothed hag-fish.

Giant barb‑toothed hagfish that burrow into the sandy banks of estuaries with barely their mouth visible, and lie in wait for victims which they very quickly suck dry. Adults have been known to exceed 3 feet (1 meter) in length, and remain largely immobile (buried) except to reproduce.
 
DISTRIBUTION: Zoar Island and nearby mainland estuaries.
LANGUAGE : Y’lan. Known as Tshit in Zmeezh.
