Giant, bipedal reptilian carnivores with large terrifying heads. Their breath and massive dropping mounds are particularly rancid. So named because of the low frequency trr‑trr purring sounds they use for communication, and “bahal” is an Elim word for “stink”. They are swift runners in a sprint but tire easily, and make sharp turns clumsily. There are many different regional kinds of trr-bahal so the term itself is generic.
As the Woebegin takes hold, larger and more terrifying forms emerge, and with a belligerent attitude to match.
