A rocky archipelago southeast of Zoar Island that is surrounded by shallow tidal flats and extensive reef systems. These frame the only safe passage for any vessel. The tidal flats are famed for the carmine sea lettuce that grows only there, and from which the reefs and islets take their name.
 
The Pilgrims’ Channel is heavily patrolled except during the seasons of the toxic jellyfish swarms. It is simply too dangerous then for anyone — Zmee or Elim — to be in the water.
